Floral Installations

Plant walls, floral chandeliers, and green installations are everywhere this Summer. It's no wonder why the show-stopping, insta-worthy impact of a flower wall is this season's must have for notable Special Events and Weddings. But as stunning as these living sculptures look, installing them is no bed of roses (ha ha). Here's a look at how Michael Daigian Design approaches this fun and fantastic floral design challenge.

Romantic Summer flower ceiling for a wedding at the Bently Reserve San Francisco

Ah... the flower ceiling. It's the Sistine Chapel of flower arrangements! We were tasked with covering 416 square feet with an assortment of fresh roses, snap dragons, delphinium and greenery for a wedding at the Bently Reserve San Francisco. See us here, channeling our inner Michaelangelo. With a 3am start time, we were definitely feeling The Agony and the Ecstasy.

20 hours, 22 designers, 2 rolling scaffolds, 900 candles, and over 2,500 of stems later....Wow! A stunning display of color, beauty, texture = flower ceiling perfection.

This Alice in Wonderland inspired event was a mad tea party come true. Decked with a 4 foot orchid chandelier, 400 square foot bespoke lemon leaf table scape, and a series of floral pool floats, Michael Daigian Design brought enough red roses to make even the Queen of Hearts happy.

Floral design installation means going to great lengths! See Nixon, our amphibious floral designer, placing these incredible flower floats to create a vibrant and unexpected look.

By extending the design concept from dining table to reflection pool we enhanced the overall event space, creating a cohesive look from cocktail lounge to dining pavilion.

Hornitos Tequila tapped us to create a succulent wall for their Hacienda by Hornitos® at Outside Lands, one of the Bay Area's most beloved music festivals. For this event, we created a rustic, agave inspired look using recycled pallets and an assortment of living plants and succulents.

The 8 x 10 foot wall needed to be free standing, so we designed and constructed the pallet structure in house, and installed on site to a steel framework. The festival is 3 days long, so we selected hearty elements such as: aloe, aonium, echevaria, and tillandsia xerographica, to hold up to the sketchy San Francisco Summer weather. The final look was completed with over 250 living plants, 24 hours, 2 boxes of moss, and 3 shots of tequila.
